Softronic Tuned 996TT with K24/20G Kills Audi and EVO 6
Check out this car that has been geared up with the a VR700 Packaged Porsche and tuned with Softronic. The 6speed Porsche gets its power from some K24/20G turbos. These are OEM K24 Turbos that have modified exhaust housings to deliver a huge punch at the mid to top end RPM range. What is special about this Softronic flash is we make adjustments to the map to accomondate 60lb injectors, raising the throttle plate closure to work with a Greddy EBC, and like all Softronic tunes, we raise the rev limiter 500 rpm and the O2 sensors to prevent any check engine lights.

Porsche 997.2 Turbo PDK Puts Down Strong 60-130, 0-60, 1/4 Mile
The new 2010 Porsche 997.2 Turbo is one powerful vehicle. The DFI 3.8L engine puts more power then its previous 3.6L. However with the new PDK transmission replacing the outdated Tiptronic, this car can shift and launch like an F1 machine. Equipped with ONLY a custom Softronic ECU Flash, this 997.2 Turbo put down the following statistics:
- 8.39sec 60-130mph time
- 0-60mph time of 3.08sec
- 1/4mile time of 11.29sec at 127mph
- Top Speed of 196mph in only 1.3miles
All times have been verified via PerformanceBox as seen on this thread of 6speedonline. This is right now the fastest verified 997.2 Turbo with only a ECU Flash!
Porsche 997.2 Carrera ECU Tuned Adding 21 Wheel Horsepower
Vivid Racing just had the pleasure of working on this 2009 Porsche 997.2 Carrera PDK car. The new 2009 and up Carrera is DFI (Direct Fuel Injection) and is available in the PDK (paddle transmission) or 6speed gearbox. It is also available in the 3.6L or 3.8L version. The particular PDK, 3.6L, Cabrio was our car worked on. The customer already had the Agency Power exhaust system and wanted to get some more ponies, throttle response, and sound from the vehicle. So we equipped it with the Softronic ECU Flash. Softronic is the ONLY company that can flash via the OBDII port on the DFI cars which does not require you to remove the ECU and possibly void your warranty. Since the cars come from the Porsche factory wanting to use 93 octane, West Coast customers that get 91 octane still can gain power. The air/fuel ratio and timing is adjusted accordingly and using the factory wideband O2 sensors to retain all knock correction and make adjustments if detonation occurs.
This particular 997.2 Carrera baselined on our Mustang Dyno in AWD mode at 291 horsepower and 249ft/lbs of torque. We had to dyno the car in AWD as the cars ABS/PSM would not allow it to work with the PDK causing it to shift up prematurely without us able to manually shift through the gears. We are more concerned with the delta then the starting number. After the Softronic Flash was done via the easy instruction manual here, we redynoed the car which put it at 310awhp and 260ft/lbs of torque. So this flash gained a true 21 wheel horsepower and 11 ft/lbs of torque. That is very good considering the ambient temperature of around 100F with 91 octane.

Cayenne GTS DFI Tuned by Softronic
Sometimes the most simple feedback is the best. Our customer Chris flashed his 2009 Porsche Cayenne GTS with our OBDII Durametric cable. When asked how the car felt, Chris told us, “It seems a little more responsive. I think it pulls a little harder than before. I am happy.” The Softronic ECU Flash for the GTS Cayenne adds 15hp and 20ft/lbs of torque. Like all Softronic flashes, the overall driveability and throttle response is great improved. Glad we can deliver power to all walks off Porsche!
2010 997.2 Turbo ECU Flash Tested – 50awhp Gain!
We just finished testing the Softronic ECU Flash on a 2010 Porsche 997.2 Turbo. The test car was a PDK running on 91octane fuel with an ambient temperature of about 95F outside. From the factory, the car comes with 500 horsepower to the crank and our baseline done 4 days prior was at 435awhp. Typically the Mustang AWD Dyno has about a 20-25% drivetrain loss when tested. 20% of 500 is 400whp and this car definitely exceeded that. Is it possible the 500HP rating is “underated”??? Whatever the case, once we flashed the 997.2 Turbo through the OBDII port, the car gained 50 all wheel horsepower and 54ft/lbs of torque bringing the car to 486awhp and 501 ft/lbs of torque. This test was also done with a stock exhaust system which is usually extremely restrictive. Stock exhausts generally produce alot of backpressure giving torque spikes. An aftermarket exhaust would gain another 20whp approximately.
What you can tell from this dyno is that the performance from the Softronic ECU flash gives a huge improvement in the daily driving rpm range. Peak performance comes on at about 3300rpm and holds strong to 4700rpm where the power then stays consistant to redline. Check out the pictures and video below!
Porsche 996C4S Flashed With Success
Another happy customer with a Porsche 996 C4S sent us in this photo of him flashing his car with Softronic. Very easy, convenient, and well worth the money!
