Super Happy Porsche 996 Turbo ECU Flash Customer
We just got this great review from a 996 Turbo customer who did his Softronic OBDII ECU Flash the other day. He also sent in these cool pics. Thanks so much for the great product review!
“I went for a Softtronic tune for my 996 turbo. Contacted Dan directly and he kept in good communication. My 996 turbo Fabspeed Maxflo with 200 cell cats, AP Y-Pipe, AP Diverter Valves with F-hose, EVOM V-flow intake, AP race plenum and large bore throttle body. The turn around time was very quick, a matter of hours. I uploaded the tune which only took 2-3 minutes. I tried a few sprints from 0-60 then 60-120, then pushed it up to 155 and it never hesitated. The boost comes much earlier and pulls very hard. A dramatic difference than before the tune. My Porsche feels like a rocket! I highly recommend the Softtronic tune for your Porsche turbo, as mine was transformed into a beast overnight. The nice thing, is that you can upgrade to the Durametric cable and have access to the diagnostics of the vehicle.”

997 Carrera 3.8L ECU Flash ALWAYS Great Reviews
Our customer Rick just finished his ECU flash to his 997.1 Carrera with a 3.8L engine. He was so happy he left us this great review!
“First, let me say that support on the Softronic ECU Tune was nothing short of excellent. Dan jumped in and gave me a personal support when my cable wasn’t cooperating. He took care of that, shot me an email, and I was off to the races…no pun intended. Initial read and final flash were both a breeze.
Very happy with the results. Improved low-end torque seems to be predominate. I don’t have enough road to stretch it out, but I was able to crack off a few sprints to 90 and 100, and it does seems quicker; improved throttle response.
Can you tell I’m smiling??? Thanks!!!”

2009 Cayenne GTS DFI Flashed at Paul Miller
Our friends at Paul Miller Performance in New Jersey just flashed this 2009 Porsche Cayenne GTS with our Softronic software. The ECU flash is all done via the OBDII port and DOES NOT require the removal of the ECU from the truck. With the tuned file for 93 octane, the SUV will gain about 15hp and 20ft/lbs of torque. The low end throttle response is greatly improved and the mid range with the top end pull much harder. Added mods such as high flow air filters and an exhaust also make this truck scream. Softronic Racing Plenum Kit and Tune UPs Power on Cayman S
The 2008 Porsche Cayman S is a Tiptronic that runs on 91octane. As soon as the car came here, we did a baseline on our Mustang Dyno. Our baseline run yielded 217rwhp and 197ft/lbs of torque. Our Stage 2 mods consisted of the Softronic Racing Plenum with ECU Flash and a complete exhaust system with catless race headers. The plenum kit uses a larger throttlebody to improve the airflow coming into the engine. To fully take advantage of this, Softronic does a custom ECU tune to alter the fuel and timing maps to account for the additional air flow. Like all normally aspirated vehicles, a good balanced exhaust system definitely helps out as well. Softronic alters the limits on the O2 sensors to not throw a CEL from this catless setup. With all the new mods on, we did a follow up dyno. With all other variables kept consistant, the car made 252rwhp and 217ft/lbs of torque. That is a 35rwhp and 20ft/lbs of torque gain. Typically there is a 10-15% drivetrain loss on the Mustang dyno and since this is a Tiptronic and on 91octane, the results would be even great with a 6spd on 93octane. Overall dramatic driveability improvement and much better sound!
Customer Reviews 997 Turbo Flash on Blog
Our customer Richard French just reviewed the Softronic ECU Flash for his Porsche 997 Turbo on his blog. Check out the full review here – http://www.richardfrench.net/2011/03/02/upgrading-the-ecu/
Porsche 997 Turbo Dyno Tested with Great Results
We had a local 997 Turbo customer that came up to the dyno to run his car. Equipped with the Fabspeed exhaust and headers, we added our Softronic ECU Flash for him. The car put down an impressive 477awhp on 91octane and 532ft/lbs of torque on the best of 2 runs. Typically, our Mustang Dyno baselines a 997TT 6speed at about 370awhp. So the results are good showing 100HP gain with flash and exhaust.
