Does ECU Flash Tuning Affect Warranty and Flash Counters
If you put the original file back in the car, Porsche cannot detect anything as it is the ORIGINAL. Softronic provides you with the TRUE ORIGINAL file. Others that have a switching unit give you a stock type file where you are switching between fuel maps on a already altered file. The only flash counter that exists is when file updates are done by the factory PIWIS tool or Porsche related tool. Other “tuners” that do not know how to devert around unlike Softronic will show a flash counter change.
For example we had a recent customer with a 997TT that had flashed his car with us/Softronic. He had a turbo problem with the mechanical arm that was warrantied. Porsche reflashed his car from the original firmware of B730 (flash count 1) to a B742 (flash count 2). The customer went to reinstall his tuned file, but because they changed his firmware, the tuned file did not work and caused his car to not start. So he had it brought back to the dealer to be reflashed to firmware B742 (flash count 3). He then reread out the car and received a new file for his car which was loaded. At the end of the day, only the Porsche dealer alterations show as flash counts totally 3.
We hope this clarifies for customers concerned about warranty!

The car put down 493awhp and 559ft/lbs on our Mustang AWD Dyno using 1.2bar and 91 octane. With a 25% drivetrain loss from the Mustang, that is about 600crank HP. You can see what a big difference in torque the TB/Plenum and YPipe does as the HP and TQ is usually comparable with stock parts. Anyways this car with a EBC running 1.4bar and some 109oct should be a MONSTER!

How to Complete the ECU Flash by Clearing Codes of the DFI Porsche Cars
When flashing your DFI Porsche Carrera, Cayman, Boxster, or Cayenne with Softronic through the OBDII port, you will need to clear codes on the car before running it. The flashing process is slightly different then the older Carrera and Turbo cars. This is why we include the Basic Durametric cable which allows you to clear codes with the Durametric Software. Once you load your new tuned file that has been emailed to you from Softronic, follow these basic steps. Failing to do this will result in your car being operable or put your car in a limp mode.

Upgraded Your Porsche 997 VTG Turbos and Not Making Boost?
Once you upgrade your 997TT VTG Turbochargers and flash the car from us at SoftronicTuning.com, you need to calibrate or initialize the wastegate actuators. This can ONLY be done using a Porsche PIWIS tool which all Porsche dealers have. The ECU program file is working, but the car needs to communicate with the new turbo actuators. To do this process, simply follow these instructions with your shop:
Concerned About Emission Testing for your ECU Tuned Porsche?
Many states have very strict emissions regulations that can cause you headache if your car does not pass. Softronic is well aware of this and has developed their ECU Tuning to assist you in a smooth emissions friendly experience. First, when an ECU is flashed with Softronic, it is in the “Ready Position” for the government workers to connect via OBDII. No codes or faults are present from the flash. Second, because of the change in air/fuel ratio’s on a RPM basis, idle testing should not be affected for AWD cars that cannot run on the dyno at the emissions inspection station. If all else fails, Softronic always provides you with your TRUE and ORIGINAL file which you can flash back to stock.
