Once you receive your Client Flash Cable or the upgraded Durametric Cable, follow these simple instructions to begin your DME flash process. Make sure you view our instructional video below and follow each step as described. If the instructions are not followed, you could risk damage to your vehicles DME. The car must be able to be turned to the on position without starting it. Once connected, the stock ECU file will be pulled from your vehicle and sent to the Softronic servers. Once they receive it, they will alter the factory file and email it back to you to be uploaded. The export process takes about 10 mins where the loading process can take 20 mins. Once the car is read out, a new file will be emailed to you within 24 hours during business days.

Required to flash: Client Cable, Internet connection, Windows based laptop computer (plugged in), and Battery Charger. Please download and save the .msi file below that pertains to your vehicle. Once it has downloaded, it will ask you to RUN the file and install it on your computer. You may see a window requiring you to download .NET Framework. If you do not have the .NET Framework, it will require you to install that as well. Once everything is installed, it will automatically setup the drivers when you plug the cable in and you will be good to run the program.

Windows XP, Vista, or 7 is required.  The program will not work with a MAC.  Please make sure to disable ANY antivirus software and screensavers for the reading out and flashing process.

- *DFI Cars will export the file to your desktop and you will then need to email it to Softronic Tuning here.

1. Read the above paragraphs!  Download link pertaining to your vehicle to install Flasher Client.  Once completed, plug in the cable to the USB and let the computer install the drivers. Should it ask then say yes and proceed.

2. Plug the cable into the OBD2 port or also known as the diagnostic port.

3. Turn on the key.

4. Launch the software and see images below for the process.  After it reads out the car, you will get to the “Comments ” field.  Fill in the information as listed boldly above in RED.

5. Once you press FINISHED, the file will then upload and the process is complete.  You can shut everything off and drive your car like normal while you wait for the file to be emailed back.  This process takes about 24 hours depending on when you do the read out.

6. Softronic will email you back your new tuned and original file to the email you put in the comments box.  On this email will be a zip file that you will need to unzip and will include really simple instructions to load back to your car.  If you did not fill in the comments box information, you will need to reread out your vehicle.
