Another Well Tuned and Satisfied 997 Turbo Customer
Coming from our large customer base on the 6Speed online forums, Tom decided it was time to equip his Porsche 997TT with a Softronic ECU Flash. Gaining much needed throttle response, torque, and horsepower, Tom flashed his car fairly quickly and was quite happy.

Just Flashed Another Porsche 996TT in Under 30 Minutes!
Vivid Racing just got done flashing a customers 2001 Porsche 996 Turbo in under 30 mins! With the new Flasher Client software, we were able to read out the car and have a new file back instantly. This file tuned for 91 octane here in Arizona will add 80HP to the car. In addition to the ECU Flash, this customer also has the Agency Power diverter valves, silicone F-Hose, and K&N flat panel filter. Check out the short video and picture of the process.
Porsche 987.2 Boxster/Cayman DFI ECU Flash Tuning

3.4L Stock Power – 320HP and 272ft/lbs of Torque
Tuned Power – 335HP and 286ft/lbs of Torque

Softronic flashes the 987.2 Boxster or Cayman through the OBDII port of the car. With their Flasher Client software, they are reading a full 1mb of the file to completely tune the ECU. Other companies claim to be able to do this, but are only read 128kb and making global changes. The ECU flash will alter your fuel and timing maps to give you a very linear increase over stock. For those worried about check engine lights, there are none! For those running a high flow cat or straight pipe exhaust systems, Softronic raises the O2 levels which will remove the possibility of having a CEL from this type of exhaust. Once the car is flashed, the low end torque and throttle response will be much improved. The mid-range of the RPM band will feel stronger as well. The overall improvement of drivability makes the 997.2 Carrera even more fun then it was originally. Since warranty is always a concern, Softronic also provides you with your original file. With this original file you can flash your car back to stock at any point. If you go to the dealer, there will be nothing visible through the Porsche PIWIS system. Softronic can program your vehicle no matter what country you are from or what octane you use. We have different maps for those running 91 octane or 93 octane and higher.
What are the benefits/functions of going with Softronic compared to the competition?

Softronic Releases OBDII ECU Flashing for DFI 997, 987, and Cayenne Cars
Softronic has made another first in Porsche ECU Tuning and now has the ability to flash the DFI Porsche 997.2 cars from 2009+. We utilize our Flasher Client interface which allows the customer to connect to their car with a OBDII cable and write the new Tuned File. No removing of your ECU from the car or downtime. After customer Mark G flashed his car in NY he emailed this, “I will say this so far… The power/pull is much more consistent from start to redline. Throttle is perfectedly sensitive and responsive.”
The 2009 and up Porsche Carrera is a big change over previous models. The new 911 has switched from a Bosch ECU to now running a Siemens SDI system. The transmission can be had in a standard 6 speed manual or the new PDK transmission to complete with the GTR, M3, and others. Softronic has spent time engineering and developing software for the new FSI cars and is one of the only tuners in the world that can offer an ECU flash via the OBDII port. With some additional programming to adjust the cars timing and air fuel mixtures, Softronic is able to gain performance on both the 3.6L and the 3.8L 911.

997 Turbo Tip Runs 11.16 in the 1/4mile with Softronic
This Softronic tuned Porsche 997 TT out of Tennessee but the business to the 1/4 mile yesterday. The tiptronic car with a Softronic flash and muffler bypass pipes ran a 11.16sec at 123mph in his first run out. Adding 80HP, this clearly gave the 997 Turbo that advantage to pull a strong 1/4 mile time. Check out the pictures below.
996 Turbo Tuned at the Texas Mile
We visited the Texas Mile event on October 16-18 where cars competed to see what their top speed would be in a standing mile. This customers red 996 Turbo was complete stock except a K&N filter and some diverter valves. We added a K16 ECU flash to take it from .6bar to 1.0bar of boost and add almost 80 horsepower to the car. Needless to say the driver improved his top speed tremendously! Softronic was able to remotely flash his car through the OBDII port wirelessly completely the entire upload and download in just under 2 hours on site.
