The 2010 GT3 is one incredible street/track car. As you rev past 2000 rpms, the exquisit sound coming from the back of the car is a like a symphony of horses ready to trample anything in its path. Jumping up from the previous 3.6L GT3, the 997.2 GT3 has a 3.8L engine with a complete dry sump oil system like the 997 Turbo. Most of the engine changes are purely cosmetic and are no different when it comes to tuning the cars computer. Softronic steps in with their fine tuning to focuses on improving the cars power curve. With some additional programming to adjust the cars timing and air fuel mixtures, Softronic is able to gain 20 horsepower to the crank and 21ft/lbs of torque.

Stock Power – 435HP and 316ft/lbs
Tuned Power – 455HP and 337ft/lbs

Softronic requires the 997.2 3.8L GT3 ECU to be mailed in for flashing. The ECU flash will alter your fuel and timing maps to give you a very linear increase over stock. For those worried about check engine lights, there are none! For those running a high flow cat or straight pipe exhaust systems, Softronic raises the O2 levels which will remove the possibility of having a CEL from this type of exhaust. Once the car is flashed, the low end torque and throttle response will be much improved. The mid-range of the RPM band will feel stronger as well. The overall improvement of drivability makes the 997.2 GT3 even more fun then it was originally. We have different maps for those running 91 octane or 93 octane and higher. We have tested this software in many competition venues with nothing but positive results.

The upgraded VTG system retains all the factory components, but with a larger compressor and clipped wheel, these turbos can now produce up to 700 horsepower to the crank. Modifications should be consulted with a installer and the assistance of Softronic to maximize the potential of your vehicle. The tuned file is designed to retain the factory boost controller and up your boost level. For those running catless race pipes, Softronic raises the O2 limiters which trick the computer from throwing a CEL. This map is available for a 91 octane or 93 octane pump gas car as well.

With their Flasher Client software, they are reading a full 1mb of the file to completely tune the ECU. Other companies claim to be able to do this, but are only read 128kb and making global changes. Softronic will also provided you with your original file. With this original file you can flash your car back to stock at any point. This map includes 2 revisions in the price. If revisions are necessary, you must provide the dyno sheet showing HP, TQ, Boost, and AFR as well as a Durametric Datalog. Durametric cable is required for this.

The 996 GT2 is a rear wheel drive version of the 996 Turbo on steriods. With the larger K24 turbos, more aggressive suspension, and lighter weight, this is purely an animal. The high revving 911 can still gain more power though. Softronic can flash the stock ECU to gain another 40 horsepower and 50ft/lbs of torque.

Softronic flashes all the Porsche 996 cars through the OBDII port. With their Flasher Client software, they are reading a full 1mb of the file to completely tune the ECU. Other companies claim to be able to do this, but are only read 128kb and making global changes. The ECU flash will alter your boost, fuel, and timing maps to give you a very linear increase over stock. Softronic tunes using the factory knock and oxygen sensors to ensure you get the best map the first time. Basic bolt on modifications like Diverter Valves, Exhaust, and Intake do not require the re-reflash of the ECU, they only bring out further performance of the vehicle. For those worried about check engine lights, there are none! For those running a high flow cat exhaust systems or straight pipes, Softronic raises the O2 levels which will eliminate any CEL’s. Once the car is flashed, the turbos will come on much quicker and the car will pull harder to redline. The overall improvement of drivability makes the 996 GT2 even more fun then it was originally. Since warranty is always a concern, Softronic also provides you with your original file. With this original file you can flash your car back to stock at any point. If you go to the dealer, there will be nothing visible through the Porsche PIWIS system. Softronic can program your vehicle no matter what country you are from or what octane you use. We have different maps for those running 91 octane or 93 octane and higher.

What are the benefits/functions of going with Softronic compared to the competition?

Softronic does not require the removal of your ECU from the car. There is no down time at all.

Your car can be flashed at your convenience from the comfort of your own garage.

Softronic reflashing is done via a Client Cable that is connected to the OBDII port. The customer simply plugs the cable into the car and reads the file with a laptop per the instructions with the cable. Once the file is downloaded, it is emailed to the Softronic secure server where the file is tuned and then emailed back to the client. The client simply uploads the file and they are done. Total process is about 1 hour.

Reflashing is done according to the vehicles octane level of pump gas and modifications are taken into account (Intake, Headers, Exhaust) to enhance power gains.

All ECU Flashes include FREE of charge the ability to use the Durametric diagnostic tool with the Basic Flash Cable included in the flash price. This is a $287 value at no additional cost to you!

Like all before it, the 997 Turbo is an animal out of the box. With 480 horsepower to the crank and Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) turbochargers, this car is one to be scared of. But as with any other turbocharged car, there is more hidden inside it. With some adjustments to the boost level, timing, and air fuel ratio, Softronic can create a monster out of the stock 3.6L 997 Turbo. This ECU flash is for the 2007+ 997 Turbo.

Softronic is now one of the only companies in the world that can do OBDII ecu flashing of the 997 Turbo. With their Flasher Client software, they are reading a full 1mb of the file to completely tune the ECU. Other companies claim to be able to do this, but are only read 128kb and making global changes. The ECU flash retains your factory SPORT mode function, but also increases your boost under normal use. For those worried about check engine lights, there are none! For those running a high flow cat exhaust system, Softronic raises the O2 levels which will remove the possibility of having a CEL from this type of exhaust. Once the car is flashed, the turbos will come on much quicker and the car will pull harder to the 500rpm increase of the redline. The overall improvement of drivability makes the 997 Turbo even more fun then it was originally. Since warranty is always a concern, Softronic also provides you with your original file. This was a gain of 104HP and 83ft/lbs of torque. Now this is a hard one to compare to other products and companies because of 2 variables. Exhaust brand and temperature. The 997TT is very finicky in sport mode with different exhausts. Most aftermarket exhausts are running 200cell cats. So you have to have the ECU flash done to turn off the CEL caused by the cat inefficiency code. This exhaust as tested uses 80mm piping and is much more free flowing then other systems, so it adds alot of power.

Watching the boost gauge on the dash, in sport mode, the car held a constant 17psi to 6800rpm. Without sport mode, the car ran 15psi. These runs were done back to back. What was interesting is that without sport mode, the car made more peak at redline power. But if you look at the curve the initial boost from Sport Mode gave the car a TON more torque and mid range. It could be possible that the Sport Mode which caused the EGT to rise on a back to back run cut out at the high RPM. The inital torque and midrange is good as that is one thing you can TRULY feel.

The Porsche Carrera GT is the one of the ultimate super cars of our time. Its engineering stemming from Porsches world class racing program has given this car its brute power, aerodynamics, and handling. With all vehicles, the manufacture has held back. Softronic will change that though. Taking your Carrera GT to new levels by adding 65 horsepower to the crank and an additional 55ft/lbs of torque. Along with the huge performance increase, Softronic also raises the rev limiter by 500rpm and removes other limiters such as your MPH. When asking Softronic tuner Scott Slauson about the improvements made to the Carrera GT, he says, “Ask Jay Leno, he will tell you how happy he is!”

Softronic has been in the Porsche business for nearly 30 years. With a large following in the Porsche community, Softronic has also worked with the likes of Hendrick Motorsports, handling data verification for Porsche Cup Car teams, and even been an advisor to the PCA Technical board. Based in Connecticut, Softronic has had the opportunity to tune and enhance many of the worlds fastest Porsche cars.

Softronic requires the master and slave ECU sent to them to flash the Carrera GT on the bench. The ECU flash will alter your fuel and timing maps to give you a very dominating increase of power over stock. For those worried about check engine lights, there are none! Once the car is flashed, the low end torque and throttle response will be much improved. The overall improvement of drivability makes the Carrera GT even more fun then it was originally. Softronic can program your vehicle no matter what country you are from or what octane you use. We have different maps for those running 91 octane or 93 octane and higher.
