Porsche Cayman 3.4L Flashed to Perfection
One of our customers just flashed his Porsche Cayman 3.4L with the flashing client as seen here. The ECU flash for the Cayman or Boxster gives the car a huge jump in overall performance. Adding 15 + horsepower, the car pulls harder all the way to redline with increased throttle response. Check out the customers photos.

Porsche 997 Carrera Flashed for Big Fun in Hong Kong
Just had a customer from Hong Kong flash his Porsche 997 Carrera 3.8L. The OBDII ECU flash was pretty easy considering he is a world away from us. The customer sent us a great review and some really cool pictures of his car.
“The car is AMAZING after the tune files were uploaded. I have not dyno-ed it, but the car, especially in sports mode pulls so quick through the rev range almost like it’s uncontrollable! I’ve always thought the stock 997s was pretty amazing as is, but now, with this mod, the car definitely much much quicker, there is no flat spot at all anywhere in the power range and it just keeps pulling away like the needle wanting to fly out of the dial! Not to mention the feeling of the enormous thrust from the back, it’s like I have installed a monster down the back aiding the engine pushing the car forward.

Custom Tuned 996TT Tip with Tial A28 Turbos
We recently had the chance to tune this Porsche 996TT Tiptronic with Tial A28 turbos. The car was also equipped with a full Agency Power exhaust system, Agency Power YPipe, Agency Power Intercoolers, and Agency Power TB/Plenum. It was also running a Greddy EBC and 60lb injectors.
With the car strapped down to our Mustang AWD Dyno, it had a full tank of 93octane and a base file. We ran the car out and datalogged it. After 3 different datalogs we made 1 revision to the file and got More power! We wanted to increase midrange and top end power as to much torque on the tip would make it slip. So going through all the tables for that RPM range, we created the final map. We ran the car out and got 532awhp and 563ft/lbs of torque. But we were not done. Softronic tunes all files to adjust for higher octane. So with only 88miles left in the tank, we dumped in a 5 gallon drum of VP MS109 octane. Cranked up the boost to run 1.6bar and we got some good additional gains. The cars top numbers were 571awhp and 632ft/lbs of torque. On a tip, this is really the max as we could feel the tranny did not want to stay together with that much torque. By Mustang standards this is over 700hp and 750ft/lbs at the crank.

Porsche 997.2 Turbo 2010+ ECU Flash Tuning
Porsche 997.2 Turbo – $2295
Stock Crank Power – 500HP
Mustang AWD Dyno Test – 435hp/447ft/lbs
Tuned Crank Power – 575HP
Mustang AWD Dyno Test – 486hp/501ft/lbs
- 8.39sec 60-130mph time
- 0-60mph time of 3.08sec
- 1/4mile time of 11.29sec at 127mph
- Top Speed of 196mph in only 1.3miles

The test car was a PDK running on 91octane fuel with an ambient temperature of about 95F outside. From the factory, the car comes with 500 horsepower to the crank and our baseline done 4 days prior was at 435awhp. Typically the Mustang AWD Dyno has about a 20-25% drivetrain loss when tested. 20% of 500 is 400whp and this car definitely exceeded that. Once we flashed the 997.2 Turbo through the OBDII port, the car gained 50 all wheel horsepower and 54ft/lbs of torque bringing the car to 486awhp and 501 ft/lbs of torque. This test was also done with a stock exhaust system which is usually extremely restrictive. Stock exhausts generally produce alot of backpressure giving torque spikes. An aftermarket exhaust would gain another 20whp approximately. What you can tell from this dyno is that the performance from the Softronic ECU flash gives a huge improvement in the daily driving rpm range. Peak performance comes on at about 3300rpm and holds strong to 4700rpm where the power then stays consistant to redline.
Softronic has been able to flash the DFI cars since the 2009 Carrera came out. Now with testing completed and maps developed, the 997.2 Turbo can be taken to a whole new level. The complexity of the maps and tuning of the DFI Turbo is much different then the earlier 997 Turbo. With the stock car making about .7bar of boost, the new flashed file holds a solid 1.0bar of boost. Having made changes to both the fueling and timing tables, we are able to get a safe and reliable increase of power to the car. With their Flasher Client software, Softronic is reading a full 1mb of the file to completely tune the ECU. Other companies claim to be able to do this, but are only read 128kb and making global changes. The ECU flash retains your factory SPORT mode function, but also increases your boost under normal use. For those worried about check engine lights, there are none! For those running a high flow cat exhaust system, Softronic raises the O2 levels which will remove the possibility of having a CEL from this type of exhaust. Once the car is flashed, the turbos will come on much quicker and the car will pull harder to the 500rpm increase of the redline. The overall improvement of drivability makes the 997.2 Turbo even more fun then it was originally. Since warranty is always a concern, Softronic also provides you with your original file. With this original file you can flash your car back to stock at any point. If you go to the dealer, there will be nothing visible through the Porsche PIWIS system. Softronic can program your vehicle no matter what country you are from or what octane you use. We have different maps for those running 91 octane or 93 octane and higher.
What are the benefits/functions of going with Softronic compared to the competition?

Flashed Porsche 996TT Puts Down a STRONG 417awhp and 480tq
We flashed a customers 996TT recently and had a chance to dyno the car today with some impressive numbers. To make sure all was safe and correct, we dynoed the car on a Mustang AWD dyno and logged the boost pressure with our Durametric tool. Doing a 3rd gear pull, the boost was spot on at 1.0bar through our datalogs. Generally a flashed 996TT makes about 410awhp and 415tq. For some ODD reason, this 996TT made 480ft/lbs of torque and 417awhp. So… Thought we would share the dyno, the Softronic Tuning experience, and the picture.
Car has Softronic ECU Flash, Agency Power DV’s, Silicone FHose, K&N Flat Panel.
Softronic Releases ECU Flash Tuning for the 2010 997.2 GT3
Like its predeccessors, the new 2010 997.2 GT3 is quite a beast. Making 435bhp and 316ft/lbs of torque, it is already a monster. To achieve such a feat, no part of the powertrain was left untouched. The seven oil pumps of the dry sump lubrication system were put on a strict diet as were the air-con compressor and dual mass flywheel. Forged pistons, titanium connecting rods, hollow camshafts, and special lightweight valves and cup tappets not only reduce mass, they allow for a maximum engine speed of 8250rpm — 100rpm higher than the previous GT3.
Then there is the complex exhaust system; though composed of a complicated arrangement of fan-type manifolds, boxy catalytic convertors, and presilencers connected via ECU controlled butterfly valves to a single transverse mounted muffler, the system weighs 1 kilogram less than the older system on the previous GT3. What’s more, the new system significantly reduces back pressure and adds 20Nm of performance (and that deep bass roar) at the push of a dash mounted sport button.
All of this is furthered by the tuning of Softronic adjusting the entire 1mb of the timing and fuel maps via the OBDII port. Like all Softronic maps, you are able to keep your original map to load back to stock at any time. The new tuned file is done for either 91 or 93 octane and automatically adjusts for race gas which advances the timing. The Softronic ECU Flash for the 997.2 GT takes your car to an incredible 355hp and 337ft/lbs of torque.
