<p>&#8220;Just installed the flash tune in the GT3. WOW, it has transformed the car.  Normal city driving has become much easier and the car runs much  smoother.<br />
When you open the throttle and use the full rev range the engine  sings and the car seems to have a new power-band, which hurtles it down the  road.<br />
Might have to get a 25 kilo bag of sand for the boot, as it now lifts  the front end up during heavy acceleration.<br />
Thanks guys for a great tune.&#8221;</p>

<p>The test car was a PDK running on 91octane fuel with an ambient temperature of about 95F outside.   From the factory, the car comes with 500 horsepower to the crank and our baseline done 4 days prior was at 435awhp.  Typically the Mustang AWD Dyno has about a 20-25% drivetrain loss when tested.  20% of 500 is 400whp and this car definitely exceeded that.  Once we flashed the 997.2 Turbo through the OBDII port, the car gained 50 all wheel horsepower and 54ft/lbs of torque bringing the car to 486awhp and 501 ft/lbs of torque.  This test was also done with a stock exhaust system which is usually extremely restrictive.  Stock exhausts generally produce alot of backpressure giving torque spikes.  An aftermarket exhaust would gain another 20whp approximately.  What you can tell from this dyno is that the performance from the Softronic ECU flash gives a huge improvement in the daily driving rpm range.  Peak performance comes on at about 3300rpm and holds strong to 4700rpm where the power then stays consistant to redline.</p>
<p>Softronic has been able to flash the DFI cars since the 2009 Carrera came out.  Now with testing completed and maps developed, the 997.2 Turbo can be taken to a whole new level.  The complexity of the maps and tuning of the DFI Turbo is much different then the earlier 997 Turbo.  With the stock car making about .7bar of boost,  the new flashed file holds a solid 1.0bar of boost.  Having made changes to both the fueling and timing tables, we are able to get a safe and reliable increase of power to the car.  With their Flasher Client software, Softronic is reading a full 1mb of the file to completely tune the ECU. Other companies claim to be able to do this, but are only read 128kb and making global changes. The ECU flash retains your factory SPORT mode function, but also increases your boost under normal use. For those worried about check engine lights, there are none! For those running a high flow cat exhaust system, Softronic raises the O2 levels which will remove the possibility of having a CEL from this type of exhaust. Once the car is flashed, the turbos will come on much quicker and the car will pull harder to the 500rpm increase of the redline. The overall improvement of drivability makes the 997.2 Turbo even more fun then it was originally. Since warranty is always a concern, Softronic also provides you with your original file. With this original file you can flash your car back to stock at any point. If you go to the dealer, there will be nothing visible through the Porsche PIWIS system. Softronic can program your vehicle no matter what country you are from or what octane you use. We have different maps for those running 91 octane or 93 octane and higher.</p>

<td><strong>What are the benefits/functions of going with Softronic compared to the competition?</strong></p>

<li>Softronic does not require the removal of your ECU from the car.  There is no down time at all.</li>
<li>Your car can be flashed at your convenience from the comfort of your own garage.</li>
<li>Softronic reflashing is done via a Client Cable that is connected to the OBDII port.  The customer simply plugs the cable into the car and reads the file with a laptop per the instructions with the cable.  Once the file is downloaded, it is emailed to the Softronic secure server where the file is tuned and then emailed back to the client.  The client simply uploads the file and they are done.  Total process is about 1 hour.</li>

<p>&#8220;I just installed my softronic flash for my 06 997 C2S. I was impressed the first time I ran it through the gears, but one blast through the canyon, and I was hooked. The car pulls strong all the way to 7500 rpm, then drops right into the sweet spot when I shift. Normal mode is more like sport mode used to be. Sport mode now is very crisp and responsive. Dan was a big help with the whole process. To say I am happy would be an understatment.&#8221;</p>

I was impressed the first time I ran it through the gears, but one blast through the canyon, and I was hooked. The car pulls strong all the way to 7500 rpm, then drops right into the sweet spot when I shift. Normal mode is more like sport mode used to be. Sport mode now is very crisp and responsive. Dan was a big help with the whole process. To say I am happy would be an understatment.</div>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We flashed a customers 996TT  recently and had a chance to dyno the car today with some impressive numbers.  To make sure all was safe and correct, we dynoed the car on a Mustang AWD dyno and logged the boost pressure with our Durametric tool.  Doing a 3rd gear pull, the boost was spot on at 1.0bar through our datalogs. Generally a flashed 996TT makes about 410awhp and 415tq. For some ODD reason, this 996TT made 480ft/lbs of torque and 417awhp. So&#8230; Thought we would share the dyno, the <a style="color: #2b6d9f; text-decoration: none;" href="http://www.softronictuning.com/" target="_blank">Softronic Tuning</a> experience, and the picture.</p>
<p>Car has Softronic ECU Flash, Agency Power DV&#8217;s, Silicone FHose, K&amp;N Flat Panel.</p>

<p>&#8220;Also tuned a 997TT with softronic. It is a definite \WOW\ … I could not believe the difference the first time I floored it! It is an animal even in non-sport mode when you get into the boost — but doesn’t seem to have lost any driveability around town. I’m now considering if the brakes are up to the task, no kidding. The tuning process itself was pretty user friendly, as described. I received the tune file withing 24 hrs of uploading, and then got my original file back the following day. The fact that I have the control and could switch back to original at any time is an absolutely great feature. Kudos to Softronic and the team at Vivid, who provided excellent service throughout — thanks!&#8221;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Vivid Racing just got done flashing a customers 2001 Porsche 996 Turbo in under 30 mins!  With the new Flasher Client software, we were able to read out the car and have a new file back instantly.  This file tuned for 91 octane here in Arizona will add 80HP to the car.  In addition to the ECU Flash, this customer also has the Agency Power diverter valves, silicone F-Hose, and K&amp;N flat panel filter.  Check out the short video and picture of the process.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>One of our customers just sent us pictures of his yellow Cayman S from Malaysia that he installed the <a style="color: #2b6d9f; text-decoration: none;" href="http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/softronic-racing-plenum-kit-porsche-cayman-s-boxster-s-34l-06-25whp-p-65942.html" target="_blank">Softronic Racing Plenum and Software</a> kit on.  The plenum is a pretty easy install as the main hassle is getting off the engine access panel. The plenum and throttle body are a larger diameter then the stock unit to give you a true 25whp when the car is tuned. The ECU flash process is pretty simple too. The SRP kit includes the Durametric Cable which allows you to do ECU Flashing in minutes, see the instructions here - <a style="color: #2b6d9f; text-decoration: none;" href="http://www.softronictuning.com/installation" target="_blank">www.softronictuning.com/installation</a>.  The customer was VERY VERY pleased with the performance gain and looking to an exhaust now.  Here are some pics.</p>
